Signage firm helps to herald a new era for Longbridge

A Birmingham-based signage firm has helped boost security at St. Modwen’s £1 billion regeneration of the former MG Rover works at Longbridge.

Bowden & Dolphin Signs, a family run signage company, has manufactured and applied the signage to the Longbridge security vehicles, which patrol the 468 acre site that’s scattered across multiple locations.

Leading regeneration specialist St. Modwen is transforming Longbridge into a thriving community, delivering 10,000 jobs, 2,000 homes, a new town centre, parks and public open spaces.

Andy Dolphin, Director of Bowden & Dolphin Signs, said the company was delighted to be playing a role in such a major scheme:

We are absolutely thrilled to have provided the vehicle livery for the security vehicles at Longbridge. We wish   St. Modwen every success and hope that we can work with the company again on future projects.”

Mike Murray, senior development surveyor at St. Modwen added:

“We are pleased to work with local companies like Bowden & Dolphin in the transformation of Longbridge. The regeneration project will create a thriving commercial, leisure and retail community, which will in turn create thousands of jobs.”

Bowden & Dolphin specialises in creating and installing a variety of signage solutions, working closely with clients, designers and architects to provide intelligent and efficient fitting – causing the least disruption to a business or organisation.

Birmingham Firms Working Together is a Sign of the Times

Birmingham sign designer and manufacturer Bowden and Dolphin has won a major new contract to provide signage for Yardley’s Swan Centre.

The contract is for the design and manufacture of directional signage to help delivery personnel find their way around behind the scenes, as well as front-of-house signs for the shopping centre itself.

The tendering process involved stiff competition, but Yardley’s Swan Centre decided that Bowden and Dolphin was the right choice.

Yardley’s Swan Centre is just a few miles from Bowden and Dolphin’s premises and the signs will be hand crafted by local Birmingham sign makers.

Andrew Dolphin, Managing Director at Bowden and Dolphin said:

“We were delighted to hear that we had successfully won this fantastic contract. We understand the importance of local Birmingham businesses working together to help boost our city’s economy and create success, despite the downturn.”

Andrew added:

“We have a vast portfolio of experience when it comes to shopping centre signage and so we were delighted when Yardley’s Swan Centre asked us to quote for this project.”
